EcoWave was founded in 2015 by a team of Ottawa tradespeople who'd spent years working for larger contractors and watching corners get cut on every project. The first job was a single interlock driveway in Westboro, built with a friend's spare time on weekends — done at a depth and standard that the bigger shops wouldn't quote.
Word spread. Ten years later, we still build every project the same way: documented base specs, fixed-price written quotes, no change-order surprises, real warranties. The eco-friendly side of the name means responsible material sourcing, salvaged subbase where it makes sense, and finishes that last 25+ years instead of needing replacement at year five.
We stay deliberately small. One project manager per active build. A team you'll actually recognize on day twelve as the same crew that showed up on day one. That's the trade-off — we won't quote you in 24 hours during the May rush, but the quote we send is the price you pay.
We don't compete on price; we compete on durability. Every base spec is documented, every joint is sealed, every detail is checked twice before sign-off. The work is meant to outlast the warranty.
Salvaged subbase where viable, locally sourced stone, low-VOC finishes, recyclable demo waste. We pick materials that'll still be specified in 25 years — not what's cheapest this quarter.
Fixed-price written quotes. No hourly billing, no change-order shell games. If we missed a wall in the original walkthrough, that's our cost — not yours. The only number that moves is when you ask for an upgrade.
